Santa Mateo Returns!
4th Annual:
Saturday Dec. 5, 2026 • 5pm • Downtown San Mateo
One night of playful challenges, festive chaos, and charitable mischief.
Part scavenger hunt. Part holiday crawl. Entirely Santa Mateo.
Santa Mateo is a holiday crawl where costumed Santas take on downtown challenges, enjoy food and drink specials, and celebrate at an afterparty for charity. Last year, Santa Initiates proved they could be trusted. This year, the Secret Santa Society is calling on them to prove their value! Complete missions to recover missing items and show the Council you've got what it takes.
Playing with a Purpose
Recovering what's lost and proving your value may be this year's challenge, but the final mission is giving back! At the afterparty, Santa Mateo comes together to support NAMI San Mateo County through our charity auction.
Exclusive Food & Drink Specials
Fuel up between missions with exclusive food and drink specials at participating Downtown San Mateo businesses from 5–8 PM.

“The most brilliantly absurd night of the holiday season. You haven’t lived until you’ve raced 50 Santas down B Street for charity.”
